Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffees

Our Roast Master and green coffee buyer, Casey Blanche, is always hard at work searching for unique specialty coffees for Ancora customers. In addition to looking for coffees with unique taste of place attributes, we also seek out coffees that are produced in a sustainable manner. In the process, we have come across a number of wonderful coffees that are certified by the Rainforest Alliance (RFA) organization. The Rainforest Alliance "works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior". To achieve this goal, they work with coffee farmers to ensure they are cultivating their beans in a sustainable manner, as well as protecting the people and wildlife that depend on the land. Introducing Ancora’s Roastmaster’s Reserve Line

Our very own Roastmaster, Casey, has been putting in overtime to select the most interesting coffees currently available worldwide. His goal: to discover coffees that go above and beyond the already high standards of Ancora’s specialty line of coffee, roast them to perfection and share them with customers such as yourself. The taste profiles of these selections are meant to both challenge and, most importantly, reward your palette. Only the most noteworthy coffees will be deemed worthy of the Reserve labeling- and each for a limited time only. Some coffee lovers are creatures of habit - we find one or two favorites and stick to them.  Here's a challenge though - this year resolve to increase your coffee knowledge and palette by tasting 'new' Ancora coffees! Suggestions: if you always order Tanzania Peaberry try a different African region -  Ethiopia Moka Harrar is full of inherent blueberry flavors and will remind you warm summer days aren't too far away. If you always drink Black Thunder, consider distinctive Spice Islands French Roast. This year resolve to explore and expand and have fun with your coffee palate!
