These bold coffee beans are produced cooperatively by the indigenous Toraja mountain people in Central Sulawesi. This tropical island, known as both Sulawesi and Celebes, is a collision zone for two of Earth's crustal plates resulting in sharply ridged, heavily forested and isolated countryside. Extended family groups harvest and mill the beans in this extremely rugged country. Our Sulawesi has a full, creamy body with a tangy, sweet acidity.
