We are proud to offer this shade-grown, Rainforest Alliance Certified™ coffee from San Marcos, Guatemala. Nueva Grananda is a small farm with incredibly rich soil, as it is nestled between the two tallest volcanoes in the country. In addition to highest quality care of the coffee from seed to harvest, the farm is also dedicated to sustainability in every sense of the word. After the coffees are carefully hand picked, Nueva Granada pulps the coffee cherries using their own clear spring water in a mill that uses 80% less water than old style mills. The coffee pulp is then composted and used as organic fertilizer. Thick shade trees and vegetation surround the farm, providing a sanctuary for local birds and wildlife. The coffee itself is rich and sweet with the resonant cocoa and citrus notes and an irresistibly creamy mouthfeel.
