The Kona Coast of Hawaii is one of the world's most famed coffee growing regions and only coffee growing region in the US. Our Kona coffee is grown by Makapueo Farms - both a coffee estate and an on-site milling center to insure the hand-picked cherries are plucked at just the right moment, then processed in a timely manner to insure freshness and quality. Typica is one of Arabica coffee's heirloom plant varieties, and the area's rich volcanic soil and climate is decidedly suited to produce beans noted for a mellow, sweet flavor creating an image of warm breezes and sunshine!
