Our Roasting Team wanted to showcase the fruit and brightness in this crop from Bufcafe Cooperative and they hit the jackpot with a light roast yielding an exceptionally bright cup and sweet mild body. Ancora has a rich relationship with the growers of Bufcafe and we’re happy to note that new crop Bufcafe won honors at Cup of Excellence and earned top RoastMaster honors at the Specialty Coffee Association conference this year. Cafe Rwanda is our program designed to practically support coffee-farming families in Rwanda. We donate $1 for every pound of Rwandan coffee sold. The dollars are earmarked for the Coffee Lifeline Project to purchase solar-powered radios and programming. Thanks to the radios, coffee families now have access to weather and agricultural news, educational programming for children, medical information and even entertainment.
