Black Currant

Black Currant
A deep purple cup of tea enjoyed both hot and iced. Black currant farming was banned in the United States over a hundred years ago because the bush was linked to causing a tree disease. Since then many states lifted the ban and the berry is enjoying a bit of a comeback, mainly in New England. Black currants are also popularly used in jellies and jams. The tea is fruity and sweet.
