Malawi AA Pa Mwamba
Malawi AA Pa Mwamba is skillfully cultivated by the Mwamba tribe on Chiradzulu Mountain in southern Malawi. When translated, Chiradzulu means "Yesterday's Tail", referencing a folktale of a hunting trip gone awry. According to legend, the hunters failed to return with the tail of the leopard they had killed, believed to have magic powers. When they went back the following day to retrieve the tail, the hunters disappeared, never to be seen again. Whether there is any truth to this tale remains unknown. What we do know, however, is that the mysterious Chiradzulu mountain provides ideal growing conditions for this full-bodied bean. Grown at altitudes of up to 5800 feet using passively-organic techniques, this coffee displays distinctive grape and red apple flavors, along with smoky tobacco, spice and smooth caramel.
